Welcome to ‘Prasanthi 2019’
From the National Young Adult Coordinators, SSIO Australia
Dear Sai Young Adults of Australia (SYAA)! Dear Embodiments of Love!
We are so, so excited to invite you all on a pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, the Abode of Highest Peace, the home of the Sathya Sai Baba. The place where we can focus on our true purpose and who we truly are. The pilgrimage is being styled ‘Prasanthi 2019’ and will take place from 12 – 26 January 2019, although the actual preparation for the pilgrimage starts 1 September with the activation of spiritual discipline plan which will prepare us for our time at the ashram and maximise our benefits from the event.
Our vision for SYAA is for us to be dedicated to seeking the divine truth of our existence. We see us all engaging with each other in a spiritual manner, in a way that takes us higher and closer to God!
The Prasanthi 2019 pilgrimage is an opportunity to focus on our individual spirituality as well as to unite with our fellow Australian Young Adults. It is an opportunity to learn from each other, as well as to serve and inspire!
The aim of our pilgrimage is to:
- Catalyze our individual contemplation on Sai’s teachings by ensuring positive energy and pure intake through all our senses
- Harness our ‘group momentum’ and influence our sincerity in practicing the teachings
- Bring us closer to God and awaken our inherent divinity
Sai built Prasanthi Nilayam with our highest good in mind. Every aspect of the ashram signifies our transformation. All of us know the saying ‘You can bring a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink’. Sai has given us all the opportunities and the means through which we can achieve the divine purpose – that is, our transformation. He came to ‘light the lamp of love in our hearts’, to help us realise who we truly are.
We must take the steps. We must make the effort. We must use our discrimination and must have constant vigilance as to what we take in through our senses and into our bodies, minds and spirits. We shall embark on this journey together, to remove our confusion and provide us with clarity.
In light of this, we have chosen the theme ‘Boomerang: Back to the Source!’ The Boomerang is thrown, and when cast correctly, moves with speed and precision. It achieves its target and then returns to the caster.
God has thrown us into this world and we must remember our purpose!
Are you ready to focus on God? If you are ready to transform and be your highest self – please join us on this journey to Prasanthi – not just to the place in Puttaparthi, but to the place within your hearts.
Let us unite in love – with purity of thought, word and deed.
Let us sincerely seek to understand through love.
Let us humbly dedicate ourselves to the task, with love.
In the Loving service,
Sudhagar Sivabalan and Nishevitha Shanmugarajah
